Hello and Welcome!!!

I decided to do this blog hop for my baby. I am due today January 17, 2012 with my first baby and it's a BOY! I have been working on a baby album for him and wanted to show it off in a hop! I have asked some amazingly talented women to join me in this fun!!

I do have to tell you that I have already had my son. He is now 5 days old and I am loving every minute of him. He was born January 12, 2012 at 9:43am.

Now onto my Layout I made using the Bamboozled by Love file from Treasure Box Designs. I am loving this file and I decided that this page will be when we first layed eyes on him in the hospital.

I inked almost all of the pieces, and used my white gel pen. I am in love with the way this Layout turned out!! I can't wait to put his pictures on it and put it in the book.

I think this card is my very top favorite. I went into it not know what I wanted and came out with this awesome card!

I have one more Christmas card to share. I wanted to wait until I knew that the person I sent it to had it :). I really like the way it turned out and I think I am going to use the same cut soon and make a Layout.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 9

Welcome to day 9 of my 12 days of Christmas!!! Today is going to be a little different... I don't have a project to post (well I do, but I'm not going to). I wanted to just let everyone know a little about what's going on with me and what my hope is for Christmas and the New Year!

Wednesday I went into the hospital to be monitored for a few hours. I ended up being in there for 4.5. It was a long time. I am 34 Weeks pregnant and apparently this baby is almost ready to come out. There was a scare and the baby's heart rate decreased a lot and a nurse ran in and told me to turn on my side to be monitored. It helped the baby's heartbeat but scared me. They ended up ordering an Ultrasound and tests to make sure the baby was moving and breathing enough. Sure enough baby had the hiccups while they were monitoring and was moving arms and legs. That was a relief.

I have a chronic back strain and so far the pregnancy has been good except for the past week. I end up being in so much pain that I can't move. So they wanted to give me some pain meds after everything checked out. I was checked and they told me that the baby's head was really far down for only being 34 Weeks. That scared me a little bit more because we are not ready. I feel like the baby needs to cook a little more! I was released and went home and slept and have felt a little better but not much.

I went to my Dr the day after and talked to her about the test results and everything else. She told me that they wouldn't put me on bed rest or do anything to stop labor if it happened now. That scares me! I have been told that 37 Weeks is full term not 34. I only get pressure and contractions when I am standing. She told me that if I didn't want to deliver I could put myself on a modified bed-rest if I wanted to make sure the baby stays in. So I think I have decided to take my Maternity leave from work and focus on keeping this baby in and cooking. If baby can stay in until at least December 27 then we will be golden!! Then I will be 37 Weeks and I will welcome the baby anytime after that! I just want a healthy baby and I would love for it to wait so that we don't have to spend anytime in the NICU. That scares me more than anything.

So I have been laying low and trying not to do too much. I do get up and go to the store if I need something but there is no more real shopping or being up on my feet right now at this point. I need to keep us both healthy and comfortable. Being at the table crafting hurts sometimes. When I move certain ways or am up there for a long time it takes a toll on me. I am trying to finish up cards and I have also started a few other projects, one being a Christmas Layout for one of my friends baby's. She is having a boy and we don't know what ours is yet so I will make ours when our baby comes and we know.

I had started making a Layout for the Creative Time for Me challenge and I didn't get finished with it in time for the challenge. So I put it aside for a few days and then came back to it and finished. I got the inspiration for this Layout from one I saw although mine looks nothing like it.

I just got the B is for Boy Cricut Lite Cartridge and used that on this Layout! We don't know if we are having a BOY or a GIRL so I thought if I made one of each we will be set. I started with the boy and am working on the girl one now. I will post that when done.

Pregnancy Album Pages 16-19

Hello All!!!

I have been on a roll with my album! My goal when I got pregnant was to stay up on the pregnancy and the 2011 album I am making so it will be done by the time the baby gets here. Well... I have not even started the 2011 album yet. I am actually going up to the table to craft after I post this.

I have not had too many yuck experiences during my pregnancy; but there has been a few.

5 Months Layout and my Bump pics that go along with it.

Diaper Cake

This is a Diaper Cake that I made for my Aunt and Uncle for their new baby. She is having a girl and the baby's theme is Noah's Ark. I decided the purple hippo was a must for a little girl. I ended up sending this to her since she doesn't live close.

I used some Wood Animals from Michael's, the ribbon is from Michael's also. Security Blanket is from Target and the Diapers are Huggies Pure and Natural diapers.

My aunt is going to be Cloth Diapering since it is more natural but I only make diaper cakes with Disposable diapers and am very please that I found these diapers that are Organic. She was also very pleased and did not know they made such a thing.

I am making another one that is Animals for someone else. I will post that one as soon as it is finished and on it's way :0)!!

I have been trying to work on the book to get it done as soon as I can. I am going to post the book in it's entirety once it is finished.

First Layout is our 10 week ultrasound. Our baby looked like a little peep.

I still have to journal in this 2nd Layout but it is all my belly pics from the 4th Month. This is the month when I really started to pop.

Baby Shower Favors!!

I just made these favors tonight and I love the way they turned out. I wanted Favors at my baby shower next weekend but didn't tell anyone until recently. So I decided that I would make some. I got the idea from My Pink Stamper. I watched her video and then decided to make some of my own in the theme of my shower. My Shower is a jungle theme, and we dont know if the baby is a boy or a girl.

Here is the picture of a few I have done:

I love Monkeys but my Fiance loves Lions and we were going to make the baby's crib theme The Lion King. So I thought the lion was perfect.

I just got finished with this Layout this morning. I have not had a lot of crafting MOJO lately. It makes me sad! I was watching a YouTube video last night and saw someone make a Layout and I fell in love with it. I changed some sizes and made it with non-traditional colors. I am trying to finish my 2010 album and it's slowly coming along.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week - Day 2

I am excited to share my project with you today. As some of you may or may not know I am expecting my first Baby in January and am trying to Scrapbook at the same time :). It is a very exciting time for me right now. My baby shower is coming up in less than a month and I decided that I want to make a specific 8 x 8 album for it. I will have tons of family and friends there and want to document it all. I made my first page based on the theme of the Shower and when the time comes I will put a picture of me in the photo spot.

We are not finding out the gender of our baby until it gets here, so I'm trying to make it as gender neutral as possible without using Light Green and Light Yellow too much.

Wedding Album

Hello All!!! So I had to take a break from my Pregnancy Album. I went to a Wedding yesterday and I made them a Wedding album and just started it this week and finished it in a few days. I was on a roll!! LOL!! Here are the pictures from the book: WARNING: PIC HEAVY!!!!!

I was really happy with the way this book turned out. As you can see, her colors were Black, Silver and Royal Blue.

I am now going to go back to working on my Pregnancy Album and get all that done as much as I can. I am also working on some Peachy Keen Goodness!! I have my guest designer week coming in 2 weeks and I am so excited!! You will not be disappointed for this one. Make sure you check back!!

Pregnancy Album Pages 2-5

I have been trying to work on my pregnancy album as much as I can. I have been taking Esmerelda with me everywhere in order to design and perfect the layouts that I want. My friend was going to make it for me and then she got busy and hasn't been able to. So I took it back over and making sure I get it done.

I originally wanted a theme of Orange, Yellow, Brown and Green. Then I decided that I was going to make it whatever colors I liked since through-out the whole pregnancy we are not going to know if it's a boy or a girl. So I am making it in colors that I love in order to show my progress.

I am 20 weeks along, so Halfway There!!!! YAY!!!! I only have these few pages finished so I will continue to post more and more pages as they get done.

Pages 2-3: You and me will be about Me and my Fiance before getting pregnant and then the Positive Page is about the day we found out and how.

Pages 4-5: The first Ultrasound confirming that we are pregnant. There was no baby showing yet but the sac was there and everything looked great.

I just wanted to share with everyone that we got our Ultrasound done and saw our beautiful baby!! I am so excited!! We are not finding out the gender, so there is going to be a big surprise when the baby gets here in January.

I am working on my pregnancy album right now and will be posting each page as I get it finished and perfected!!

I'm so in Love with my baby. I am beyond excited!!! Baby kicks and moves around all the time and I love the feeling!

I am very sad and sorry to say that this is the last Scrapbookaholic By Abby Challenge. I have had so much fun on this Design Team and worked with so many talented people. I follow all of them and will continue to look at the wonderful things that everyone designs.

Cricut Expression 2: Anniversary Edition

I am so excited to say there is a new Cricut in the house!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! I just got today in the mail my CE2. I am so excited!! I have been wanting one since I saw it on HSN and didn't think it was a possibility. My grandma then surprised me and just got me one. I am soo happy!!! Now I just need to figure out how to use it. Here are some pictures that I took while I was opening it...

It comes with everything you see below. I am excited that it comes with covers for the ports so they don't get all dusty. It comes with a mat, Power cord, Computer Cord, Stylus, Blade and Housing, and 4 pre-loaded Cartridges. YAY!!!!!

Thank You Sooo Much Grandma!!!! I can't wait to start playing. Hoping I can get my gypsy working with it. I have some things saved I want to cut out. If you have any feedback on your please let me know. I am a little nervous!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

Alright!!! I am so excited that I actually got my card finished. I have had it all layed out on my gypsy but haven't cut it out since I have been gone all weekend.

The Challenge over at My Creative Time is to use a Retired Cartridge for your project. I liked this challenge. I surprisingly have a lot of the retired cartridges and it got me using some I don't use often enough.

I decided to use Joys Of The Seasons for my card today. I thought it would be a good time to start on my holiday cards so that I am not behind this year.

My Pink Stamper DT Entry

I was so happy when I actually got my entry for My Pink Stamper DT was done. It took me a long time to get an idea for what I wanted to make. I wanted to make a shaped card that I hadn't already done, and I found this one and fell in love with it.

The Challenge:

Make a Card, LO or Project using your favorite cartridge and the colors Orange, Turquoise, Green, Brown and one other color of your choice.

I made this awesome card for the challenge and used all the needed colors and added pink, which is my favorite color. I used my favorite Cricut Cartridge, Create A Critter for my card. The Sentiment Reads You make me smile and is embossed with Green Embossing Powder.

Hey everyone!!! You guessed right... It's that time again!!! Time for the Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #8.

I had a lot of fun doing this challenge. This week is to create something Red, White and Blue!! There can be so many possibilities!! It doesn't just have to be 4th of July. I saw a "hello" card and a birthday card and I loved them all.

Here is my card for this weeks project!

This card is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the layer is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I used the K & Company Americana stack for the background and the words. I cut the strip at 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 and used adorable little white buttons. The Ribbon is Whisper White from Stampin Up and the Words are from the Stand and Salute Cart cut at 4". The card base and red strip are from Paper Trey Ink.

I used this stamp that I got out of the dollar bins at JoAnn's to make it an adorable party invitation.

I did make a few things today like I promised. I was so excited when my bestie came over to scrap for a few hours. She hasn't been here in a few weeks and I was missing her!!! Im sorry everyone for not doing much crafting lately. I have had so many things going on right now that I have not even made it to the dining room table to make anything. I just made this card and I am really liking the flower. I am in Spokane at my grandma's house and we have been crafting together and this is what I came up with. I love when all the flowers are out in the summer. This is an A2 sized card, The flowers are a stamp set and a punch that grandma has from Stampin' Up. I really like the set. I used all Stampin' Up Cardstock.

Baby's First Year Album

I made this book for my aunt for the baby's first year. It is not all my idea, I scraplifted the ideas from the Cricut Message Board before it changed to the new one. I am extremely happy with the way it turned out!!! There are lots and lots of pictures!

I used New Arrival, Don Juan, and Calligraphy for the entire book.

Aunt's Pregnancy Album

So, I started a pregnancy album for my aunt when we found out she was pregnant last October. She is now due in 1 month and had her baby shower last sunday. I had so much fun!! Last time I saw her I asked to bring the book so that I could work on it. I have been working on this book for so long. Here is the book... It was made with the Life's A Beach Cartridge and there are lots of pictures.

Today is the Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #5!!! The challenge is to create a bag or box and include Hello Kitty on it, if you have it.

I do not have anything Hello Kitty and I was making these little bags for my Aunt's Baby Shower that was yesterday.

I got the bag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and the Turtle is cut from Create A Critter @ 1.59". The ribbon is from the dollar store near me.

SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!

So, I came how from not a very good day at work and checked my email like I always do... I was so beyond excited to see that I had an email from Robyn of My Pink Stamper!!!

The email tells me that I was the Winner of Challenge #7!! This challenge was to make a Scrapbook Page (Im trying to play catch up). I won 2 DCWV paper stacks!!! I am so beyond excited!! I won the Green Tea and Cotton Bloom Stacks!! WOO HOO!!!!!! I can hardly contain myself, that made my day so much better than it was!!

I was excited for this one since I have a puppy and have the cutest photos of her.

I used Nana's Nursery Baby Girl Stack from DCWV for the background and accent. The title was cut using Don Juan @ 1.25". The Dog and Dog Bed were cut @ 2.75" using Everyday Paper Dolls. Strip is cut at 3". I used my White Sakura Jelly Roll to accent.

So, I use tags all the time on my projects, but now that it's for Challenge #6 I was drawing a blank. LOL!

Challenge #6-Incorporate a tag on your project!

I used Once Upon A Princess for everything on this Layout. It is an 8 x 8 all using my Scraps. The Photo mat is for a 4 x 4 photo. I used my Sakura Jelly Roll Pen to Doodle around the Brown piece. The Tag was cut @ 3" and the ring was cut @ 3 1/2". The sentiment is Embossed with Midnight Black embossing powder and used a Black Sharpie Pen to doodle around the tag.

Challenge #5 - Any 3-D item or if that too much Challenge then add a 3-D item to a Scrapbook page or Card.

I saw something like this from someone else (Im sorry I cannot remember where) I had all the pieces here at home already and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make it.

There is Tulle inside the pot to look like green grass, and then cut out multiple sizes of Flowers from Plantin Schoolbook and used Toothpicks with little things on the end for the Stems.

Hey Everyone!!

Today I am the guest designer over at Crafting with Cristina!! I am so excited!! I have been waiting for this day for a long time. My challenge this week was to make a recycled project. I had heard of things being made with toilet paper rolls and decided to go ahead and try myself.

Here is my project that I made:

Front Cover using Ribbon from my Stash, Tag from Twinkle Toes cut at 1.50".

Tag from Twinkle Toes cut at 1.50" and Bee from Create A Critter cut at 2"

Butterfly cut at 2 3/4 using Create A Critter

All the paper is from a new Peeps stack I got at Craft Warehouse, Sentiments are Sweet Cheeks Stamps by ME using Spring In Bloom. I used 1/8" eyelets and the Orange rings are also from the same line as the paper.

The paper is cut at 6 x 4 and then wrapped around a flattened toilet paper roll. I noticed some rolls are different so you should measure your own for the project.

Hey everyone!!! I have been sick with a sore throat and fever for 5 days now. I was determined to get my project done for the challenge. I am excited I stuck through and finished it. I almost gave up! While doing my project I was thinking of putting a picture of my puppy on it when we went to the beach.

This weeks Challenge was to make something with an animal on it and the color Orange. Go visit the ASPCA. They have an annual event in April.

Recipe:

8 x 8 layout

Let's Party @ 3" using CAC

Sand Castle @ 4 1/4" using CAC

Seahorse @ 3 1/2" using CAC

Photo Mats @ 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 x 4 1/2
